Hello. My name is Cherry Rose Arcenas-Aricheta and I am a Filipino. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with specialization in Special Education. I started teaching in 2007 and since then, I never stopped working with children. My work experience includes teaching in two private schools in the Philippines and two international schools in Indonesia. My first teaching experience was working with children with special needs for 4 years. Meeting children with different backgrounds, cultures and abilities helped shape my teaching style. Working in multicultural schools also helped broaden my view in education and various curriculums and philosophies influenced my current teaching perception. I believe that children learn differently and if they are given ways to learn according to their interest, they are more likely to enjoy and succeed in school. I am currently in my 3rd school year in Academic School and I can say that I love teaching in this school because aside from the positive atmosphere, the institution continuously contributes to my growth as a teacher. The school cares for the well being of its teachers and students, which also gave me a chance to find more time to do the things I love outside work. I particularly enjoy traveling, cooking, baking, gardening and painting.
